Sounds:

Fluency reading begins with hearing the sounds that letters make. This year we will learn/review all of our consonant/vowel sounds.

Vowel Sounds:

It is so important that students can recognize the difference between short and long vowel sounds. This will help support reading fluency as well as writing. We teach students movements to help remember the different sounds.
